lyrics

I had a dream we were on this strange train, heading far up north, past Saskatchewan, but in this bizarre dream geography, you know?

We were all going to work some job in the North, but the dream only covered the train.

At one point I saw you as a younger man, and I thought back to myself then, too. I thought it was funny how we’d aged.

There was a stop on the route that you told me was a good one, and indeed it was. It brought me to tears.

(I’m not the only one for you)

The farther we went the less gravity seemed to affect us, and the less I felt gravity, the happier I became.

We went through a tunnel on route to a town. It was the end of the line for you, you said. You would be stopping there a while to film your movie.

I asked why you chose this place when the train finally emerged, and I was hit by a warm, glowing, intense orange beauty, and the town was the most spectacular and special place I’d ever seen.

And I knew -

(I’m not the only one for you)

I knew you made the right choice.
